ST LOUIS, MO – January 7, 2020 – The demand for educated pet professionals is drastically increasing. With this change, The Academy of Pet Careers has outgrown their 5,000 square foot facility and, in the spring of 2020, will open the doors of their new 35,000 square foot educational center.

The facility will be located at the newly renovated Vatterott College building at 3550 W Clay St., St. Charles, MO 63301.

Partnered with Petropolis, a pet care center focused on enrichment and education, the APC is building the first career school of its kind that puts animals needs first. It is believed that this pet-centric education and care is the future of the pet care industry and will give graduates a leg up when starting their new career.

The new facility will feature a 7,500 square foot training arena and event space for the pet public. Petropolis, with their focus on enrichment activities will be building over 20,000 square feet of outdoor yards and enrichment features.

Students will be able to choose from 3 different career paths: Pet Grooming, Dog Training, and Veterinary Assisting. Each program ranges from 3-5 months in length and is taught by experts in their field.

The Academy of Pet Careers plans to continue their efforts to educate more than just pet professionals. With their new space, more pet events and seminars will be held at the APC, to better educate and engage the St. Louis pet community.
