Three Tails is looking to add another talented pet stylist to our team. We would love to add a passionate, talented individual to our team to accommodate our loyal and growing clientele at our new store front of 5,000 square feet, right on Main Street in the heart of Columbia, Illinois. Our store is open Monday through Saturday—Monday-Friday 8:00-5:30 and Saturday 8:00- 2:00. Grooming services are by appointment only. Our groomers are commission based plus tips. We offer employee discounts and feeding programs to feed your own pets.

Our new storefront just opened April of 2021 with a brand new grooming salon designed with custom bath tubs, spacious area for grooming and a large clientele base that is continuously growing.

Responsibilities

Provide extraordinary customer service with all customers
Preform safe, caring and thorough pet handling, bathing, drying, brushing, nail trims, ear cleaning and gland expression during start to finish grooms
Maintain daily cleaning tasks within work area to assure the environment is safe for all pets
Work diligently and respectfully with other groomer on site and other team members within the store
Sustain job supplies and procedures
Qualifications

Pet Stylist certification (required) with 2 or more years of experience
Must have own shears, clippers and hand tools
Familiar with most common breed cuts and pet styles
Complete 6 or more grooms per day
Dependability and initiative are musts for this position
Candidate requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
Required to understand animal behavior and conditions
Ability to lift 50lbs and handle difficult dogs if needed
Passion to create a friendly, safe environment for all pets in our care

About Three Tails Parlor and Pantry

We are a local and family owned business established in 2006. Our location is right off the Main Street in Columbia, Illinois. We have two locations-- one in Waterloo, Illinois which opened in 2006. Then, our Columbia location which opened in March of 2018. Inside, you will find wholesome nutrition options for your dogs and cats, treats, safe toys, unique gift and compassionate and exceptional and grooming services. We recently added to our service selections with Pet Rehabilitation services and Pet Chiropractic Care. Our knowledgeable team takes pride in our authentic relationships we share with our customers and their pets. All employees are certified in Pet First Aid and CPR to assure the safest environment for all pets in our care.

Upon entering Three Tails store, you will be greeted by our staff and at least one of our residential rescue cats, Nellie and Finn. Let me walk you through our pantry, where we offer a variety of grain inclusive and grain free kibbles, canned, dehydrated, freeze dried raw, and frozen raw.
