ST LOUIS, MO – February 16, 2019 – With steady growth of the pet care industry (predicted increase of $3 Billion in 2018), there are more opportunities for small pet businesses than ever before. SocialPET was created to support small pet businesses in their efforts to open their doors and grow their business.

SocialPET is an app that combines social networking with online learning. The platform intends to bring together pet businesses from all over the country and allow them to connect and share ideas. Unlike other social applications, SocialPET provides organized and searchable content. Users will be able to filter the information they see in their feed by only the topics that best interest them.

In addition to the social networking benefits, online courses and resources are provided that allow experts to share their information through a more structured medium.

The concept was created by Joseph Schifano, President of The Academy of Pet Careers, a career school in St. Louis that provides trade skills and business education to pet professionals. Mr. Schifano has this to say about the need for such an app,

“The pet care industry is full of dog trainers, groomers, walkers and sitters, all trying to make a living doing something they love. These people are the heart of the pet care industry, but affordable education isn’t available to them…until now! We created SocialPET for small businesses, so we can come together and change the industry one business at a time.”

Compared to other business consultants that charge up to $150 per hour, a membership to SocialPET only costs $14.99 per month or $149.99 per year.

SocialPET is scheduled for launch on March 8th, 2019.
