Academy of Pet Careers and CARE STL Partner for ‘Giveback Day’ to Improve Animal Welfare

St. Louis, MO, June 20, 2023 - The Academy of Pet Careers (APC), a premier institution for pet-oriented professions in the greater St. Louis area, is pleased to announce its annual "Giveback Day" on July 7, 2023. This day underscores APC's commitment to community service and animal welfare by supporting the activities at the Care STL Adoption Center. 

 

On this day, APC will temporarily suspend its regular school schedule to enable its students and staff to volunteer at the CARE STL Adoption Center. This collaborative initiative is aimed at improving the lives of animals in the shelter, demonstrating APC's dedication to making a difference in the community. 

 

A variety of activities will be carried out by APC's skilled students and staff. Their aspiring dog trainers will dedicate their day to evaluating and socializing the shelter dogs, preparing them for potential adoption. The APC groomers will ensure that dogs at the shelter receive a thorough and loving bath, enhancing their wellbeing and appeal to prospective adoptive families. Meanwhile, their vet assistants will perform vital health exams and assist with administering vaccinations to ensure that all animals are in the best possible health before adoption. 

 

In addition to donating their time and skills, APC is also organizing a donation drive to collect blankets and dog and cat toys for CARE STL. They welcome and appreciate any contributions from their generous community members. Every donation, no matter how big or small, can make a significant difference in the lives of the animals at the shelter.
